Autonomous Systems and Operational Performance_
In a context where drones and robotic systems are developing and finding numerous use cases in the maritime industry, OSE Engineering has supported an autonomous robotics player in the development of an innovative solution aimed at improving the operational and energy efficiency of their embedded systems.

Development of embedded intelligence_
The project carried out in collaboration with our client is based on the design of embedded intelligence on surface vessels, allowing them to perform certain operations autonomously. This innovative system complies with the operational constraints of vessels (regulations, maneuverability) and adapts to various weather and sea conditions.
The main objective is to enable the vessel to perform navigation functions such as dynamic positioning, docking, and obstacle avoidance autonomously. This type of technology can be deployed on drones or manned vessels as a decision-making and maneuvering aid.

A concentration of technologies_
To meet the project's requirements, OSE Engineering implemented advanced digital solutions for modeling, optimization, and artificial intelligence to maximize the performance of embedded systems.
The main innovations include:
Design of digital twins to simulate the vessel's dynamics in the presence of environmental disturbances (winds, waves, and currents)
Development of real-time sensor data processing chains to provide an accurate representation of the system states and the environment
Development of predictive control algorithms
Design of embedded intelligence to optimize trajectories and navigation
System calibration from sea trials using machine learning models
The development of embedded intelligence represents a strategic challenge for the maritime industry. By enabling the automation of complex tasks and ensuring safe and optimized navigation, these technologies promote a reduction in operational costs and improved system efficiency.

The benefit of the OSE solution_
OSE Engineering's support on this project enabled the development of a comprehensive and innovative approach to maritime robotics, providing our client with concrete and measurable benefits:
Reduction in the energy consumption of embedded systems
Improvement in autonomy
Simplification of operational management
Compliance with regulations and constraints
